Music Producer, Engineer & Composer
Kenji Nakai is an independent music producer, mixer, engineer, composer, founder of Sonic Lodge Studios, VP of A&R at C.A.D. Music Media Group with over 25 years experience in the business based in Los Angeles as well as a frequent lecturer of music productions at colleges in Japan for more than 15 years. After playing the bands and working at Roland Corp. as a SW/HW designer of digital keyboards, Kenji began working at recording studios in Tokyo, Japan in 1985 followed by moving to Los Angeles to pursue his music career in 1990, he’s learned from and worked with the best of the best producers and engineers in the business including Ted Templeman, David Foster, George Massenburg, Rick Rubin, Al Schmitt, Mick Guzauski, Jack Joseph Puig. He’s also extended his expertise to the Multi-channel Surround Mixing Projects including Final Fantasy XI & XII, Ridge Racer VI, Romancing Saga, Dragon’s Dogma which has been nominated for the Best Audio Mix of GANG Award. Kenji combines old-school recording engineering/production methods and the latest technologies available today to create the music contents with the best of the last few decades.
